This season of rain has not dampened spirits at Inkberry but finds us awash in plans and progress. In June the Board formally adopted our new strategic plan and July has seen the beginnings of its implementation. Aided by consultant Robert Ronnow, our new committee structure is moving us quickly along the new path that we have set for ourselves. In July we launched a new program for the residents of Sweet Brook, Northern Berkshire Healthcare’s nursing home in Williamstown. At the weekly meetings of “Putting Your Memories on Paper,” about 15 residents meet with two Inkberry board members, Paula Orlando and Ed Sedarbaum, to reminisce about life in the Berkshires in preparation for turning their memories into a writing project. Next month you will see an enhanced Inkmail, which will keep you up-to date on our progress through a monthly message from our President, Linda White or one of our board members. Future editions will also include excerpts of writing from regional authors with links to their websites and information about them, including where you can purchase their books. If you are a writer who would like to see your work featured in Inkmail, please contact us by email at: info@Inkberry.org or phone at: (413) 664-0775. You, our loyal supporters, have made our progress a reality by standing by us in difficult times. Now, whether you are a reader or a writer, we hope you claim your reward by participating in and enjoying the upcoming programs and events that we will be presenting this coming year. |
